PART-TIME SEASONAL FARM POSITION: Humble Pie Farm is looking for an employee to help grow and harvest 150+ flower varieties from seed to bouquet, including greenhouse and field work, and optional bouquet design.
Qualifications: Humble Pie Farm is looking for an employee that is organized, motivated and passionate to help produce beautiful, high-quality local sustainable flowers. Previous farm experience is desired, but not required. We are a small family farm and value a balance of efficiency, self-motivation and hard work along with strong attention to detail in order to produce some of the highest-quality flowers in the area. We work hard, along the way learning, having fun and eating well. Employees must have a positive attitude, be physically fit and able to regularly lift 30+ lbs, have a vehicle and enjoy working outside in all types of weather.
Responsibilities include:
1. Field preparation, greenhouse work, transplanting, irrigation, record-keeping.
Pay: Base Pay is $11/hr with free plants and food from the farm. Returning employees will have opportunity to take on more responsibility and compensation. Meals and housing are your responsibility.
Timeline & Hours: Employees start March 1 and end June 15. The typical work week is 7 am - 3 pm, Monday - Thursday with a lunch break.
